Akhmal Travels: Portsmouth, United Kingdom

First thing first, I'm finally back in Brunei! yeay! Calling all Brunei bloggers: I'm up for meet-ups and collaborations. I know... I know... ("jeez. Finally Akhmal!"). That pretty much explains the lack of updates last week: I was busy packing and repacking and repacking again to get all my stuff to fit my luggage allowance flying back home. Thanks RB for the amazing in-flight services, especially in Ramadhan. Fasting hours in the flight wasn't so bad it was a nice experience.

Also, my camera does not allow me to transfer photos from the camera :( So, the day of my blog updates may be irregular from now onwards until I'm done fixing it.

Prior to leaving for Brunei, in the midst of packing, my housemates decided that perhaps it was a great time to go to Portsmouth to get some stuff for the family. It's a tradition for Bruneian travellers alright - we spend more for the family than for ourselves.

The train trip wasn't that long, only about an hour or so.

Since we had a specific place to go, we only went to one place (see if I can spell this correctly): Gunwharf Quays.

This reminds me so much of Johor Premium Outlet. It is a premium outlet though - designer outlet shops with cafes and restaurants. Brands like Cath Kidston, Clarks, Nike, Adidas, Swarovski, Ted Baker, Michael Kors, etc.

I did get a thing or two.

It's just by the waterfront/harbour, so the view's quite breathtaking. It's hard to miss the Emirates Spinnaker Tower when you're there.

Overall, it was a nice short getaway with the housemates. Thanks Ema Norazman, Amirul Husni & Rooif Faishol for helping out with the trip & photography.
